Who Is Nikki Reed & What Does She Do?
Reed was born in West Los Angeles, California. She grew up in a "complicated" household and started living on her own at age 14. A year later she rose to fame after the success of her breakout film, 2003's Thirteen. After that, she went back to Alexander Hamilton High School but dropped out again after a year because there were "mothers who were sneaking into the school at lunchtime to confront and harass her about the film." Reed gained more prominence from 2008 to 2015 for playing Rosalie Hale in The Twilight Saga.
But in 2019, a 23-year-old Reed confessed that starring in Twilight didn't make it easier for her in Hollywood. "These movies, as great as they are and as huge as they are, they don't just spoon-feed you careers. In 2011, Reed married American Idol contestant, Paul McDonald. That same year, they recorded Now That I've Found You which first aired on Ryan Seacrest's radio show. In 2012, the couple released their first EP, The Best Part. Their track All I've Ever Needed was used in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. In 2014, the two announced that they'd split after living apart for six months due to "work obligations." Reed filed for divorce the same year. It was finalized a year later.
How Did Ian Somerhalder Meet Nikki Reed?
Reed and Somerhalder started off as platonic friends. It wasn't until eight or nine years of being friends that they decided to pursue a romantic relationship. In 2014, they became an official item. Just a few weeks of dating each other, they moved in together and adopted a horse named Eagle. They got engaged after six months of dating. "She accepted with glee.
